World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade of items is a crucial aspect of preparing your character. Upgrades increase the damage of your item and the ability to enchant.
They also provide bonuses and enhancements. They can be acquired through the Blacksmith.
Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Every item recycled adds level to the upgrade gauge.
Weapon
If a weapon is upgraded, it will gain a base damage bonus and an adjustment factor that affects other stats. The weapon can also gain a number of upgrade components, which provide additional effects or attributes as well as unique cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be added to weapons, armors trinkets, gathering tools, and trinkets. The majority of them require that the equipment has an upgrade slot and meet certain specifications. The upgrade component can be removed from a weapon, armor or trinket, but it cannot be replaced. (Except for legendary equipment). Upgrade components can be found using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool, or by using a high-tier salvage tool on the item it self.
A weapon can also be upgraded to include a calibration attribute that improves certain stats, like Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. Based on the level of the weapon it can be done up to four times.
Once the weapon is at max upgrade, it can be rebuilt using a variety of different types of upgrades to increase specific stats or add other bonuses and effects. These upgrades can be applied simultaneously and their effects will differ based on how rare the weapon is.
Two Blacksmiths can perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. The upgrade materials are both different: Smithing Stones to modify the type of damage that weapons deal and Somber Smithing Stones to modify standard weapons.
It is generally recommended to increase the damage of your weapon first, followed by armor defense, and finally the other secondary stats that are required by your build. It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapons before upgrading other gear. This will increase DPS. This is particularly true for enchantments, which are extremely efficient in increasing a weapon's damage and other stats.
Armor
Item Upgrades allow players to improve the base stats of certain armor pieces weapons, trinkets, trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades may also provide additional effects, such as an increase in damage or a cosmetic enhancement. Item Upgrades can be obtained through crafting, buying from NPC vendors, through loot drops, or as rewards from quests.
The upgrade of armor can be done by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currencies. Most armor upgrades to the next level following an upgrade. The majority of armor types are upgradeable, however some items (such as the armor used to start in Great Sky Island) cannot.
Most armor upgrades provide only a slight increase in the item's defense or strength. Some upgrade components, however, can lead to significant increases in defense or strength. This is especially the case when upgrading epic items.
In addition to increasing the base defense of an item, some upgrades also give specific abilities that can be activated while wearing a piece of armor. These abilities can prove useful in combat. For example, they can boost attack speed or block. Certain upgrades also have passive effects, like cutting down on the amount of damage that is taken while wearing armor or granting a chance to dodge attacks.
Upgrades to armor could require several attempts, depending on the type. For example, if a player wanted to upgrade the strength of a Steelclash armor to Dragonscale the first attempt would result in a new piece of Dragonscale with the base defense of 59 and 67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has the base defense between 67 and 77 and it goes on.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows players to upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do so it is necessary to visit each of the four locations referred to as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations is home to an incredibly powerful fairy who can upgrade a piece of armor for the player.
Despite popular belief it isn't a necessity in The Division 2. The reality is that some armors provide significant boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic damage reduction, which makes them invaluable for specific builds. There are also ways to improve armor stats beyond the use of upgradeable armor such as the engineer trait that increases armor penetration or the challenger trait to reduce the weight of the entire armor.
Potion
A potion can be upgraded by putting it in an brewing stand in order to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks another level of effects from the potion and is able to be repeated for more potencies.
The potion also has a custom color code which the player can choose using /give and which affects area-of-effect clouds and arrows created by the potions. In Bedrock Edition, the custom potion color also applies to the effects of the potion's particle effects.
The water bottle, mundane and thick potions as well as awkward potions now have a distinct texture when they are brewed. In the Creative Inventory potion healing and weakness are now available. Addition of lingering potions, that can be prepared using Dragon breath or splash potions. Also added is a thick potion that has the status effect of Mining Fatigue. Bug Tracker is the place to report issues relating to this patch.

This enchanted Scepter's magic seems to influence the dungeon and increase the likelihood of producing water and grass. At its current level this trinket can increase the total health benefits of drinking potions of healing, waterskins, and wells of health by X%. It also grants the ability to see enemies within the Y tiles. This does not stack with Heightened Senses.
